Bark Lake Art Gallery up and running!

Earlier this winter we started showcasing artwork from the ECOAA, the East Central Ontario Art Association.  The ECOAA has been visiting us for several years for their Artists’ Retreat.  During weekend retreats, the artists have the opportunity to work on their paintings, socialize with each other and hang out at Bark Lake.

This January we asked if we could showcase some of their works and they agreed.  They gave us 17 original paintings of Bark Lake.  Some of the paintings were donated to us for permanent display, while the rest are available for purchase.

And a few Fridays ago (22 March) we sold our first painting!  The principal from St. George German Public School is now the proud owner of “Bark Lake in February” by ECOAA artist Olga Szaranski.  This work of art will be proudly in the school.
