At Bark Lake, our mission is to provide excellent, experiential, and educational programs in a unique and natural setting. Our entire program is tailored made for a focused, challenging, and character building leadership experience for national and international participants.
 Bark Lake is nestled in the spectacular Haliburton Highlands, as a virtually untouched environmental location. Since 1948, Bark Lake has been synonymous with high quality leadership training. Our programs cater to the growth, empowerment and development of youth and leaders in all occupations. By providing leadership skills, physical education, and personal development training through recreational and educational opportunities, Bark Lake's unique environment allows for multiple intelligence learning opportunities.
With our affiliations with Universities, Colleges, the Ministry of Education, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, we ensure our programs are consistent with current and developing curriculum and practice standards.
Bark Lake promotes an atmosphere of achievement and personal development that will instil the necessary qualities needed for today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders. Bark Lake believes in delivering results. We provide the opportunities to explore critical and team related thinking in a supportive and encouraging environment. Ideal for corporate retreats, educational training opportunities, and curriculum based programs for grade 4-12, or any other leadership, environmental or skill-based conferences. Bark Lake is ready for your group. We also provide a SUMMER CAMP program called SOLE (SUMMER OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE) for ages 11 to 17 in the month of July each year.
Some of the areas that are presented (highlighted below) within our programs relate directly to character education and development. Group leaders will see the growth in fundamental skills that are transferable to daily life.
