If you are planning to enjoy any of the program opportunities, you must sign a waiver form with the program staff contact.

*Swimming is in designated swim areas with a lifeguard(s) for which previous arrangements must be made. Qualified lifeguard staff must supervise all youth less than 18 years of age in appropriate waterfront location.

Fishing Policies
Fishing is allowed under the following guidelines & if previously arranged by the client in their contract with Bark Lake. No Live Bait - the effects of using live bait can harm a fishery very quickly. Non-native organisms can be introduced to the lake through bait buckets. Fish caught with live bait are often hooked deeply and have a much lower survival rate when released.

Catch and Release - To maintain the ecological balance within Bark Lake we practice catch and release. We encourage guests to get a good photograph and release their fish.

Barbless Hooks - Large barbs on hooks cause excessive damage to fish that are being released. For this reason barbless hooks or hooks with barbs crimped down are encouraged.

Boat restrictions - In order to maintain the serene wilderness and to avoid problems with zebra mussel, spiny water fleas and a host of aquatic plants transferred by boats and trailers, Bark Lake does not allow the use of motorboats on the lake. Bark Lake staff for emergencies procedures uses Bark Lake motorboats only. Canoes are appropriate for the quiet natural surroundings found at Bark Lake.

We hope you appreciate the efforts that Bark Lake has taken to ensure an exceptional fishery long into the future.
