Student / Youth Programs
For over 60 years Bark Lake has been training the young leaders of tomorrow.
Our year-round outdoor experiential program, TOLE (Total Outdoor Leadership Experience) is designed to challenge students and promote character building; qualities youth need to become tomorrow’s leaders. Help you students grow as a group and as individuals.
Let us design a program to meet your group’s (20 students or more) specific needs. We provide leadership development with a focus on community and character building. Whether your aim is on curriculum or fun, Bark Lake is the place to go; sign-up for a total outdoor leadership experience today.
 
What We Can Offer You
Experiential Programming (Overnight or Day Trips)
- Covering curriculum expectations from provincial guidelines in the areas of: Science (Environmental), Technology, Heritage, Outdoor Skills and Physical Education
- Working towards Character Education through team building, communication and leadership skills
- Focusing on Grades 5 thru 12 as well as College and University
- Assisting in electives for Specialist High Skills Major, focusing on the environment
- Credit Recovery and Credit Rescue programs for student success
- Customized Programs (field trips, complete curriculum requirements, Duke of Edinburgh overnight camping/canoe trips, leadership and teambuilding)
 
Who are our Facilitation Staff?
University and College Graduates with backgrounds in Environmental Science, Ecotourism, Geography, Physical Education, Outdoor Recreation, Forestry and Teaching. All qualified in a wide variety of provincially and nationally recognized certifications, most with instructor status. All staff must have Standard First Aid / CPR and a cleared police checks.

- Minimum group size is 20 plus chaperones.
- Lunch is not included on the 1st day. Please bring your own bag lunches.

Activities: High Ropes Challenge Course, Hiking, Canoeing, Kayaking, Snowshoeing, Cross country Skiing and Survival Skills. Qualifications and Certificates Courses are also available.
