MEETING AREAS - INDOORS

Meeting Area Capacity Description and Resources Available
Oak Centre 68 This building is wheelchair accessible. Meeting areas include a large lounge with two fireplaces and two smaller break out rooms, chairs, tables, white boards, 2 kitchenettes, and deck. The meeting areas include TV & VCR, all other AV equipment should be prearranged through the administration desk. These facilities are available to those using the Oak Accommodations.
Recreation Centre 120 A large open-concept room used for a meeting space, recreational activities, and supervised free time. Also includes a screened porch with table tennis, equipment storage area and small auxiliary room. Access to climbinb wall "must be pre-arranged"
Balsam Lake Side 80 A large year-round meeting area that is ideal for classroom and indoor activity space. Balsam is wheelchair accessible. Includes white boards, tables and chairs. AV equipment is available upon request
Balsam Road Side 36 Another classroom style meeting space, with a small break out room that is also wheelchair accessible. Washroom, white board, tables and chairs are included.
Tamarack Lodge 36 A school portable style meeting area with a mudroom, storage areas, whiteboard and bathroom. Table, chairs and AV equipment are available by request.
Pine Lodge 36 An open concept "portable" style meeting area; this lodge is by the Pine and Maple accommodations.
Craft Centre 30 The craft building both indoor and outdoor facilities, its use must be prearranged. Equipment and supplies for nature craft and arts and craft programs are available.


Pavilion 100 Covered open air space ideal for rainy day programming; wheelchair accessible
     


MEETING AREAS - OUTDOORS

Meeting Area Capacity Features
Canoe Beach 250 Centrally located with benches, adjacent to the Dinning Hall Deck; firewood storage hut located adjacent to campfire area. The central meeting area for groups, activities and campfires.
Second Beach 150 Large beach with volleyball and access to various hiking trails. A 10-minute hike from the main site, shallow designated swim area. Lifeguards must be prearranged for swimming option.
Aspen Playfield 150 Located in the Aspen section. Includes large field, access to trails, and a campfire pit.
Dinning Hall Field 100 Open field between lake and marsh. It is an ideal location for introductory programs and lessons, initiatives, active games, and many other uses.
Hiking Trails Over 25 kilometres of trails with various levels of difficulty. Lakota trail is a self or guided interpretive trail; please contact us for more information.
Flagpole Point 60 A beautiful location, overlooking Bark Lake Leadership Centre is often used for quiet reflections. It is well known for its view of the setting sun.
Archery Field 40 A small archery field and activity field surrounded by forest located by the administration building.
Oak Field 250 A large open field that ideal for active games and initiatives. Also has horseshoe pit.
Aspen Woods 250 A natural forest boundary for active ecology, orienteering, navigation and experiential activities.
