TOMLE (Total Outdoor Music Leadership Experience)

The Total Outdoor Music and Leadership Experience is a unique opportunity for Music groups and School Bands to get the best out of both worlds, Music and Outdoor Leadership.

The ability to have professional musicians work with your band in small sectionals with a focus on skills and technique, and a follow up with a full band practice allows for specialized attention and a different perspective for any band or music group. Looking at music from a team perspective, working together, and harmonizing the focus always end with beautiful music.

- Reasons Why

  • Clinics on individual instrument groups will help correct any problems and intriduce new concepts improving overall technique & preformance.
  • Rehearsal of current repertiore by clinicians exposes students to different conducting techniques & can be used to reinforce any new concepts introduced during the clinic.
  • Performance by clinicians gives the students a chance to hear professionals play in many varied styles and introduces them to a lot of uncommon instruments.

- Can only be achieve with a minumum of 5 clinicians with the optional addition of an Electric Bass Teacher

- For smaller groups whose numbers do not warrant 5 clinicians, a 2 hr rehearsal/clinic is offered with 2 or 3 clinicians who will conduct them through their repertoire and advise/correct any playing problems. The clinicians will be able to perform duets or trios for the students.

- Additional clinicians are available for special needs (Guitar, etc)

The options of a Fall TOMLE allows for a team focus from the start of the school year. Bringing the band together early in the school year with leadership opportunities helps bring a sense of community to the music sessions.

Winter and Spring TOMLE is a great way to celebrate a great year and get the final practice sessions in with the leadership focus before the final year-end competitions.

For instructional purposes, we ask that you contact us about your band size, musical instruments (winds, brass, percussion, etc.) and level of experience. We also ask that you bring the music that you have been working on, as well as music stands.
